The world has a cat problem, no news here. In many countries that we visit for our holidays there are stray cats around every corner. Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey… You just have to keep your eyes open and actually see for yourself. Many tourists don’t see that these are not cute animals hanging around in the sun all day. They are poor critters instead, fighting for their lives everyday. The cats around where we spent our holiday on Madeira where all in decent shape, since they received some food from the hotel staff. But we also saw some very sick cats on a remote spot on a mountain, which were so sick that they will not survive the next few weeks.
