From dusk till dawn: photo night in Hamburg

Taking photos from six in the evening to six in the morning – that kind of was a challenge. But believe it or not: These 12 hours felt much more like four.

This year the second “Long night of photo workshops” took place in Hamburg. It was a good opportunity to experience Hamburg at night and discover some nice photo spots. There were many different kind of workshops to choose from: For example food photography, theory courses about travel photography and several photo walks. All workshops were lead by photographers, which was great for learning one or the other thing.

As you can tell I participated in the photo walks ๐Ÿ™‚ .

The night was a little exhausting, since every slot was two hours long with a one hour break between it. This break was actually for driving / walking to the next photo location. But I didn’t feel tired because there was so much to do and see. I got home at around 9am with some fresh bread rolls for breakfast — not a too bad start into a pretty laid back Sunday.

Depending on what is offered next year I’ll be there again ๐Ÿ™‚ .

  1. These are fantastic pictures! I especially like the one taken from the bridge showing the Speicherstadt in the background. The light is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing with us.
