Feathers, fur and a froggy: Westcoast wildlife

As you might have noticed, some of my favourite photo motives are animals. And usually you can spot lots of wildlife in the Vancouver area, depending where you are. Birds are around almost everywhere. And if you want to see bears, the area around Squamish and Whistler, north of Vancouver, is a good place to go.

The first black bear we’ve seen during our stay in Vancouver 2012/13 was actually on a trail near Squamish. We hiked the trail again this time and didn’t see any wildlife. But we finally spotted a black bear a little later, when we in fact wanted to watch eagles, which we didn’t see at this place, though. Strange world 🙂

Have a great weekend 🙂
