Whirlwind trip to Goeteborg // part 1

Thanks to Ryanair and other low budget airlines it’s easy to visit cities all over Europe for a small amount of money. Since we’ve been in Stockholm some years ago and enjoyed that trip a lot we decided that our next trip up north should be Goeteborg, located in the lower north west of Sweden.

It’s a perfect destination: Only one hour by airplane and not too large; if you like, almost everything can be reached on foot. And another good thing: People in Sweden almost all speak (pretty good!) English. Try to ask a cashier in Germany whether she/he speaks English. I bet you’ll just earn funny looks.

We booked a small apartment on Airbnb (our fifth trip with Airbnb by the way, we can only recommend it!) which was located only 5 Minutes from the main central station right in the heart of the city. Perfect destination to explore this beautiful city!

That’s what our first day looked like:

Enjoy your weekend and come back soon to read the second part of our trip to Goeteborg!

  1. No snow in Sweden? It’s the beginning of March and I would have thought they are still stuck in the middle of winter. But according to your beautiful pictures, we are talking about spring like temperatures here. One good thing about Europe is: Nothing is really far from where you are. Good to see you take your time to travel and explore foreign countries. Visito more of them, so we can enjoy them with you!
