Birdwatching on the Island of Pellworm

After we arrived on the Island of Pellworm and checked the weather forecast, it was sure that we could not do very much outdoors.

But reading, drinking tea and from time to time browsing through the www is also not that bad ๐Ÿ™‚ .ย  Even when I tried to spent not so much time online, there was one thing in my mind I REALLY needed to google: What kind of birds are living on the island? So I searched for “Short eared owls on Pellworm” and found the website of Soeren Lang, who offers bird watching tours.

After talking to him on the phone, I booked a tour for the upcoming weekend. Fast and easy! We were lucky that it did not rain at all on this day and we cycled around the island, visiting some places to spot birds.

One thing I really liked about Soeren was, that I could ask him any question about birds or nature and we talked a lot about these topics. I did not shoot many photos, because most of the bird were just too far away.

This is why I “only” show you a bunch of photos from different places – and of course some birds ๐Ÿ™‚

Enjoy your Sunday and have a good start into the new month!
