The garden thief

Like many other we have left some birdseed in the garden, just in case bird come by. Unfortunately we do not have many feathered friends coming by. But we just want to be sure that nobody starves in our garden. We also hung up some Tit dumplings in the bushes. A few days ago I looked out the window and what did I see? The Tit dumplings were empty.

That’s really strange, I thought. Who is the thief? A woodpecker? Not very likely. Crows? No, we have never seen them in our garden. A Squirrel! No, we hung up the dumplings in the evening. Squirrels are not active in the night. Maybe a Dormouse or a Tree Dormouse! That would really be a nice surprise! Fortunately I have a trail camera with night vision to reveal the secret of the thief. So I placed a new dumpling in the bush, setup my camera and waited until next morning: Dumpling net empty, camera full of videos ๐Ÿ™‚

Unfortunately the center of the camera is totaly overexposed, but you can see the thief anyway ๐Ÿ™‚

When my girlfriend asked my whether this could have been a mouse before, I said “Noooo, that has never been a Mouse!” Well… ๐Ÿ™‚

Stay healthy and have a good weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚
