Time for Memories: Dublin

Dublin – the lovely city by the Liffey. That’s how I would describe Dublin (Baile Átha Cliath is the Irish Name for the city by the way) in one sentence. It’s easily to reach by plane from Germany and the good thing is that the airport isn’t that far away from the city centre.

One thing (among others) I liked in Dublin was the cities size and its charme. The city centre is small enough that you can walk everywhere (you don’t have to, though) and that gives you a special feeling for the space. It’s easy to orientate yourself in Dublin. Still there are more than enough things to do: You can visit a whisky distillery, some pretty good breweries, go into museums, drive trough the hills around the city, book a round trip with an old small van, driven by an original very old Irish men, singing folksongs all the time (and not watching the street at any minute), go shopping or just stroll around the city and have a good cup of tea.

As you can tell, I really enjoyed my time and I’ll visit Dublin once again for sure!

  1. The pictures are absolutely fantastic! Love them! Dublin is a wonderful city and I would always go back there. The people are so special and the beer (not only the Guiness!) is out of this world. Thanks for sharing your Irish memories.
