If you are here on a regular basis, you know that I usually shoot photos of animals, especially birds. This time I dived into the world of Macro. I have done this before but it’s really tricky to get good photos from insects / flowers. But actually I like macro photography a lot!
Sometimes I cannot believe how much live is on one m² of grassland. That’s good, because then there is not so much need of moving around 🙂 . The insects I found (despite of the firefly) have been shot on a meadow near where we live. I actually would have liked to shoot more photos but it suddenly started raining very hard. The lizard and the firefly are from the “LaPadu” in Duisburg, and from another day this week. I will publish a separate post from the LaPaDu photo session soon.
A few words about the technology: I usually shoot bugs / small items freehand. That works more or less good, as long as there is not so much wind and the is shining, with my 60mm macro lens. The focus area is very small, so a tripod is a good alternative for crawling on the ground. But this again only works when it is windstill and works best with a so called macro camera slider. First world problems, I know 😉
Finally here are the results:
Have a good start into the new week and a great Sunday! 🙂
